PIL Membranes offer a range of Porelle membranes developed for use in footwear. They been used in a range of footwear options including:
• Trail Shoes
• Athletic footwear
• Safety footwear
• Motorcycle boots
• Casual/ fashion winter footwear
The properties of the membranes have been tailored to the specific requirements of footwear offering high levels of waterproofness and durability combined with breathability for comfort. The membranes have also been proven easy to handle in adhesive or flame lamination ensuring high productivity yields.
Two membrane options are available:
Hydrophilic membrane system based on either a 25 μm or 40 μm option.
Microporous membrane system based on a 55 μm option.
Inserts for footwear
As well as membranes for footwear lining systems, Porelle also offer bootie shaped inserts.
The shapes can be readily adapted to the 3D - requirements of the boot offering a totally 100 % waterproof and breathable system without the need to use seam tape technology.
