MEMBRANES FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE

Waterproof clothes are vital to many people across a range of industries and leisure activities. Whether you’re a professional athlete or skier, emergency services staff or simply someone who works outdoors, comfortable waterproof clothes are necessary for performing at your best, whilst staying warm and dry.

In high-performance clothes and everyday wear alike, waterproofness is achieved through the use of membranes and porelle® provides a microporous membrane that does just that. MEMBRANES FOR WATERPROOF BREATHABLE FABRICS

Porelle® uses technology developed via years of experience in the industry, to create market-leading results. Microporous membranes from porelle®, work by allowing sweat molecules to evaporate through a mesh of tiny pores in the membrane, less than one micron in diameter, which also act as a barrier to the much larger rain droplets that could potentially soak the fabric.

By regulating the size of water droplet that can penetrate the material, porelle® membrane keeps wearers warm and dry, whilst remaining a comfortable temperature and sweat-free. All of porelle® membranes are lightweight, flexible and durable, providing a solid basis on which to create any protective clothing, regardless of the industry they are used in.

Porelle® waterproof breathable membranes are useful in a variety of applications, on a global basis. As an industry-leading membrane manufacturer, porelle® has offices around the world to help you with any queries and needs you might have.

PROTECTIVE PROPERTIES

Wet Conditions

Waterproof breathable membrane materials prevent large water droplets from passing through the fabric of garments, keeping you dry.

Windy Conditions

Tightly-woven fibres and small pore size restrict airflow through material to provide windproofing, protecting you from the elements.

Cold Conditions

Microporous structure prevents both wind and rain from penetrating garments to help keep wearers warm and dry, protecting you in the toughest conditions.

Hot Conditions

Pores in the membrane structure allow for the evaporation of sweat, whilst lightweight material reduces exertion and sweat production, which helps to regulate body temperature.

Dirty Conditions

Hard-wearing membranes last for a long time in tough conditions and allow for regular washing to prevent fabric becoming saturated with dirt and water, extending the lifespan of garments.
