MEMBRANES & POLYMER SPECIALIST,
GIVING YOU THE ADVANTAGE
Our range includes over 40 different membrane options, designed to meet a number of different international standards and applications. We acknowledge that one membrane cannot fit all requirements. Therefore, the porelle® range comprises of three core membrane platforms: microporous PU, hydrophilic PU and PTFE bicomponent. As a polymer specialist, we have the capability to modify the chemistry of our membrane platforms to tailor to different technology platforms and different design platforms depending on the end use. With full control over our polymers and membranes, we have the flexibility to develop and offer bespoke solutions alongside our standard product range.
OUR MEMBRANE PLATFORMS
MICROPOROUS PU
A hydrophobic (water hating) membrane with a unique structure, comprising of highly regular pores with interconnects in the sub-micron range. Allowing the membrane to repel water droplets, even under high pressure. While maintaining its breathable abilities by allowing the passage of water vapour molecules through interconnecting pores < 0.02 µm in diameter.

HYDROPHILIC PU
Our hydrophilic (water-loving) membrane has a solid structure. Manufactured by a novel process that ensures a very uniform structure, which is key to the consistency of its properties in performance. The solid structure stops penetration of water droplets but then breathes by absorbing water molecules in the vapour phase. The mechanism for breathability is assisted by chemical groups built within the polymer chemistry that have a high affinity for water molecules.
