We share a global commitment to protect the environment and promote sustainability. We are continually reducing our carbon footprint across a number of areas by reviewing our processes. Starting from materials being shipped in to finished products being shipped out. As a manufacturing company we pay close attention to our production methods, striving to minimise waste in all its forms.
We have invested in a 1.5 MW wind turbine and 1.3 MW solar photovoltaic array to help power our manufacturing facilities and reduce our carbon footprint. This offsets our reliance on fossil fuels by 60%. Additionally, we are facilitating the transition to Electric Vehicles with the introduction of on-site charging points.
Our NPD and Engineering teams are engaged in active projects, aiming to reduce our carbon impact and developing next-generation solutions for sustainable markets.
We have systems and processes in place to monitor workplace and employee safety, for continuous improvement. As part of our commitment to employee well-being, we offer external support programmes for mindfulness and, where possible, greater flexibility to support and improve a healthy and balanced work lifestyle.
The entire porelle® membranes range is PFOA free with options that are compliant with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and REACH. In support of our Quality Assurance programmes, we are ISO 9001 certified.
We have set a range of CSR and Sustainable policies that map out our journey over the next 10 years. We have already instigated projects aimed at increasing our use of renewable energy, further minimising waste and developing our future in sustainable product solutions. This also includes external actions, such as goals to eliminate waste to landfill and increasing utilisation of lower carbon impact transport methods, such as sea freight.
Equally, building on our existing CSR policies, we continually aim to improve employee safety and well-being. We have fostered a culture that encourages greater collaboration, flexibility and fairness to all employees. Monitoring our progress through an external Employee Culture Survey to ensure we are on track, and always improving and progressing.
